    Functions

    I'm checking to see if I did this problem correctly.

    f(x)= -3x + 7, find the value of x that leads to the given value of f(x).

    :f(x)= a

    a = -3x + 7

    a-7/-3 = -3x/-3

    x= a-7/-3 , is that right???

    With the correct use of parenthesizes \frac{{\left( {a - 7} \right)}}{{ - 3}} it is correct.
