OK so this is kinda embarrassing but anyway, when measuring with a ruler do you start at the CM or at 1? I am not sure if it is different, via countries but I am in the UK.

In some rulers we should start with 1 also
im amazed. why do companies produce rulers like that? is it a historic thing?

ignore the "numbers", or use a ruler that has none ...
I too am in the UK and my ruler also has CM at the start instead of 0, so yes start at the CM. Remember no question should make you feel embarrassed its when you don't ask and make the mistake that you should feel embarrassed. ;-)
