My Daughter is year 7 and has this homework where she has to arrive at every number from 1 to 100 using only the numbers 1,2,7,8. She can also only use -,/,*,+ once in the equation. Im having trouble with this. Is there evan a way to arrive at these numbers using only the numbers once?????????????????????????

Surely you can do some of these numbers! Post the ones you can't do (if there are more than a few don't expect too much help, because asking too many would be beyond what is considered reasonable to ask).

It's trial and error. All any of us would do is mess about with the numbers and see what happens.
