    Question nursing math

    order is gr 7 1/2 of drug ACETEM.PO in two divided doses each day for a week.
    available is 40 mg ACETEM per tablet.
    a) how many scored tablets will the nurse administer each dose?

    b)how many mg does the patient receive in one day? mg= milligrams

    I'm assuming the abbreviation gr is the unit grains

    note that 1 grain = 64.8 mg

    convert the 7.5 grains to milligrams, then divide the result by 40 to get the number of tablets.

    sorry, but I don't understand the dosage instructions.
