    Miles From Moon to Earth

    One light-year is the distance light travels in a 365-day year. The speed of light is about 186,282.4 miles per second. Light from the moon to earth takes 1.25 seconds. How many miles is the moon from the earth? Express answer in scientific notation.

    The units can help you out. What is miles/second multiplied by seconds?
