The particle is currently in equilibrium under the action of the three forces. So the sum of any two of these forces is equal and opposite to the third force. Therefore, if the 'horizontal-to-the-right' force of 4N is removed, there will be a resultant force on the particle of 4N that is 'horizontal-to-the-left'. The particle will therefore accelerate to the left.
