    Cool [SOLVED] Basic Mechanics Question

Kindly have a look at the following question.

I have solved the values of F, Theta and the Resultant. So I have solved both the parts of the question.

What I want to know is that how do you find out the direction of this resultant when the angle of the resultant is Zero?

I mean in this question the angle of the resultant is zero so I know that our answer for the direction of the resultant should be "Along the X-Axis" but how do we know whether it's "Along the X-Axis towards the 7N force which was removed" or "Along the X-Axis away from the 7N force which was removed"

I ask because the answer for the direction of the resultant is "Along the X-Axis away from the 7N force which was removed"

    Kindly elaborate!

    Thanks!

if the angle is 0, then the force points to the left
if it pointed to the right the angle would be 180

also you can see it by the 2 forces left. 1 points up, the other points down and left. so the resultant couldn't be to the right
