    Unhappy Mathematics in other cultures?

    Anyone got any ideas for me...?

    "Describe some mathematical ideas that arose in non-European settings (African, Asian, Muslim, Indigenous) Anlayse their significance to Western society today, in order to trace some of the cultural history of the ideas."

    Hello !
    Perhaps you could mention the Chakralava method for diophantine equations (a quite important domain), revolutionary and genius for its time, that was studied by Aryabhata in India ?
