Thread: Physics practical exam- help please?

The practical involved moments.

We had one unknown weight on one side of the moment, and had to move this weight up and down a 20cm range (in equal increments, such as 2cm), We then had a mass on the other side, and had to balance the Weight to make the ruler horizontal and then note the different distances from the moment.

Except repeats, what improvements could be done to this practical? I can only think of parralax (looking at it from a different height making it seem horizontal)

I am not sure if I understand your problem right, but perhaps changing the horizontal distance?

I'm also a bit confused on what your problem is. Are you balancing a ruler with a mass on one end, and a movable mass on the other?
