    General Convention Question

    Hi everyone,

I just have a quick question about my homework. When a question gives you a statement such as a force is "x degrees to the vertical", do they mean that

    a) the angle the force forms with a vertical is x degrees

    OR

    b) the angle formed opposite to the vertical "side" is x degrees

    Thank you very much.
