Hi

These following questins are for a maths asignment that I have, could someone please check my answers so that I can make sure Im correct, as I found this question slightly difficult:

A) i)
Acceleration= gradient= change in y/change in x
5-2=3 =3x
5u-3u=2u

2u/3= 2/3u

ii)
3x3u= 9u
0.5(5yx3)=7.5u

9u+7.5u= 16.5u

B)
0.5(4x?)=20m
0.5(4x10u)=20m

u=10

Part B is where I was the most unconfident on

Thanks!

(a) part (i) is ok

(ii) find the area of the trapezoid ... the area under a velocity curve represents the displacement.

(b) sketch in the remaining velocity until the particle comes to rest at t = 9 ... you should get a triangle representing the velocity from t = 5 to t = 9. now use what I told you in part (ii) above to determine U

3. haha

About 30 mins I did this but forgot about me posting here.

I realised that my answer in a ii was completely wrong and have corrected that and drew the triangle and got u=2

Im confident with doing this sort of question now, and pretty sure my answer is correct so I feel good about myself
