    The reason is

    \frac{3}{\sqrt{3}}=\frac{3}{\sqrt{3}}\ \frac{\sqrt{3}}{\sqrt{3}}

    since any non-zero number divided by itself is 1,
    and multiplying by 1 does not change a value, just it's form.
