    root fraction

    hi this is my question:

    \frac{7}{14  root 2}.

    would the answer be \frac{7 root 2}{14 root 2}.

    If your question asks you to rationalise the denominator, then you multiply by  \frac{\sqrt{2}}{\sqrt{2}} .

     \frac{7}{4\sqrt{2}} = \frac{7}{4\sqrt{2}}  \times \frac{\sqrt{2}}{\sqrt{2}} = \frac{7\sqrt{2}}{4 \times \sqrt{2}^2}

    This?:
    <br />
\frac{7}{14\sqrt{2}}<br />

    reduce the 7/14 values
    <br />
\frac{7}{14\sqrt{2}} = \frac{1}{2\sqrt{2}}


    \frac{1}{2\sqrt{2}} \times \frac{\sqrt{2}}{\sqrt{2}} \,\,= \,\,\frac{1\sqrt{2}}{2 \times (\sqrt{2})^2} \,\,=\,\, \frac{\sqrt{2}}{4}<br />




    .typos are a real pain.
