    subtracting volume

    Subtract 1 pt 9 oz, 1 pt, and 2 pt 5 oz from 3 qt 13 oz

    my answer is 2 pt but it just don't seem right

    I presume that the ounces are fluid onces, and the the pints are US pints
    which are equal to 16 fluid ounces.

    Convert everything to fluid ounces:

    1pt 9oz= 25oz
    1pt=16oz
    2pt 5oz=37oz
    3qt 13oz=6pt 13oz=109oz,

    So we want:

    109-37-16-25= 31oz = 1pt 15oz
