    redox

    in the equation: Fe+Cl_{2} --> Fe^{2+} + 2 Cl^{-}<br />
    identify
    a) what is being oxidized( i am going to say Fe because it lost electrons)
    b) what is being reduced( i am going to say Cl because it gained electrons)
    c) what is the oxidizing agent
    d) what is the reducing agent

    can someone provide assistance?
