hi, this is my question:
12 boys in a class of 38.
find the % of boys.

how would i do this, is it 12/38= then times the answer by 100?

It means for every 38 students , 12 of them are boys . Lets say you and your friend won $50 for some reason , so its only fair both of you get$25 each . So you get 1/2 of the $50 . i know, but what is 12 divided by 38, i need to know that, on the calculator it comes up as 0.315789473, what would i put for it?

Well , i thought u meant sth else . Ok , it's correct , then multiply by 100% would give 31.6%

31.5789473 , rounding off to one decimal place gives 31.6

so if my question was, in a class of 29 there are 17 girls. find the % of boys.

wouls i do 12 divide 29 then times the answer by 100?
