Offline advanced math software?

Hey. My first thread here so I hope I'm in the right spot.

I've been using Mathematica for my assignments but for finals we cannot use the internet (connection shuts off) so I was wondering if there's any software like that or close that can be used offline? If not, what do you guys use for your finals? :)

Thanks!

If you can use a standard laptop on your final the buy the student version of Mathematica for your operating system.

Or get a programmable calculator that has a Computer Algebra System included.

A TI92 ?

Re: Offline advanced math software?

I have Mathematica but if I unplug my internet it doesn't seem to be able to compute. It just says that it requires an internet connection. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Re: Offline advanced math software?

For anyone wondering, 'Microsoft Mathematics' seems to do the trick.

Thank you.

Your University Department should have regulations as to what is or is not permitted in examinations.

All students should have clear instructions as to what calculating aids are allowed.

Thanks. We can use all calculation aids except the internet. Therefore I believe Microsoft Mathematics is my #1 option.
