1. ## Mathcad Equation Longer Than Page Width

Hi all,

I've completed part of an assignment and it all looks well presented but one solution exceeds the width of the page.

I can work around it by formatting the math font size to 8, but it applies this to the whole document and makes it look a little untidy.

Is their any method where the equation can be spread over two "lines"?

The equation has 3 parts, ie, original function, then the derivative, then a simplified version of the derivative. So the whole thing is very wide.

Any tips?

Many thanks.

You can experiment with this.
On the math tab select options.
On that tab go to the calculation tab.
Under that option show algebraic calculations select the vertically inserting lines.
That makes things less wide.
You can always move things around.
