    Mathematica FindRoot

    Hello all,

    very quick questions here. Can anyone describe to me more about how using FindRoot in Mathematica on system of equations? I could not find a lot via google. Do I need to specific initial guesses? How do I do this? Thanks for the help,

    \text{FindRoot}[\{\text{eqn}_{1},\text{eqn}_{2},\dots,\text{eqn}_{ n}\},\{x,x_{0}\},\{y,y_{0}\},\dots] searches for a numerical solution to the simultaneous equations \text{eqn}_{i}. - Mathematica Help. Example:

    \text{FindRoot}[\{x+y==4,x-y==6\},\{x,3\},\{y,2\}] yields

    \{x\to 5., y\to -1.\}.
