I'm trying to find the zeros of a function in maple. This is what I do
and nothing happens. I can backspace over solve( g(x), x); after I press enter so it's as if the command isn't being executed.Code:g(x) := x-> (x-2)(x+2)(-3); solve( g(x), x);

You're asking it to solve an expression..not an equation, which is why its not working.
Plus, your function declaration isn't correct. It should be g := x -> (x-2)*(x+2)*(-3);
If you typed: solve(g(x)=0,x); then you'll get something...
P.S.: Why use maple when its easier to find the zeros by hand?
