Can anyone recommend a grapher with the following qualities:
1) Can handle really long equations (up to a page long for example).
2) Can plot multiple equations in the same graph.
Does Microsoft Student Grapher have these qualities?
Thanks
You could probally just use maple. Look it up online. It's far more than just a grapher, but it should be able to handle what you need it to. By the way, I have never heard of someone having an equation that was a page long that couldn't have been shortened substancially. I would do this if you wanted to decrese the chance of you screwing something up when you enter it into the computer.
Thanks.
Can Maple plot multiple functions in the same graph?
I'm using a CAS called wxMaxima which cannot do this. It can graph fairly long equations, but only one at a time. On the other hand, I also have a grapher which can plot multiple functions in the same graph, but cannot handle long equations.
As for the formula, when you're playing around with a CAS it's easy to get carried away. In my case it's a formula for the area of any triangle where the only inputs are the semi-minor axis of the inellipse and the angle drawn from one of the vertices to the circumcircle center.
