How do you graph xy + 2x - y = 5 ? I'm currently using Lybniz in Ubuntu 10.10

Or could you suggest any other software ?

Thank you.

Collect the y terms on one side $\displaystyle xy-y = 5-2x$ and factorise $\displaystyle y(1-x) = 5-2x$ and divide to give $\displaystyle y = \frac{5-2x}{1-x}$

Bear in mind there will be a vertical asymptote at $\displaystyle x=1$

As for graphing it I use kmplot but since it will pull in a lot of KDE/Qt dependencies. Of course plotting the graph should be simple in lybniz

Edit: yay for another linux user (Rock)
