Hi,

Does anyone know how to convert a transfer function in the s-domain to the time-domain in Matlab?

For example, I have the following transfer function:
H(s) = (s+2)/(s^2+4s+3)

Now I need to determine the analytical expression for the time-domain signal h(t) and plot it over the range 0<=t<=10. Can Matlab do the conversion? If so, how?

What is the input function? (H(s) is a transfer function which corresponds to an integro-differential operator in the time domain, both of which need something on which to act).

The impulse response is the inverse LT of the transfer function.
