Thread: is there a way to kill a script in matlab?

Hi, just wondering if there is a way to kill a script while it is running in Matlab. Sometimes I inadvertently create an infinite loop and the only way I know how to deal with this situation is close the whole program...so is there a keyboard shortcut or something similar?

The standard Ctrl-C should work, although apparently with some issues on Windows

Thanks for that. I am using Windows 7 and the Ctrl-C works just as it should!

In general, Ctrl-C or Ctrl-Z is kind of a convention in various programming languages for stopping execution (although Mathematica uses Alt-.).
