    Question Fourier Transform with maple12

    Hi,

    I want to make a Fourier-Transformation with maple 12 but it did not accept my input. What is the problem?

    Thanks

    The declaration of the function is wrong! It should be f := x -> A*exp(-x^2/a^2);

    Now try F := fourier(f,x,p); and see if this gives you a solution. (FYI: It gives me one)

    Now I got no error

    But there are two problems now:

    1.) I get as solution 2*f*Pi*Dirac(p) for any function I define

    2.) The Code you gave me don't response to an error, but I have a maple book in which exactly the code stands I tried first. So is this wrong what stands there?

    Thanks for helping

    greetings
