Thread: Matlab function

Hi, i'm new to this software and need help with the following question:

The vectors x and y represents two dependent measurements. Try to identify (i.e., determine function coefficients a,b,c,d, and p) this dependency by utilizing the following three model function defined by y1, y2, y3.

y1 = a(x^b)
y2 = c.e^(dx)
y3 = p1.(x^n) + p2.x^(n-1) +...+ pn.x + p(n+1) (order n<=5)

i know how to do the 2 first ones, but being stuck with the third

hey i think im doing the same matlab assignment as you...
i dont want to be leeching or anything... but i just have a quick question on getting started.. with that power function... do i have to convert it to log10 ? to be able to work it out ?...

and yea i cant really help you with anything else... sorry...
