Thread: Finite Differences in Mathcad 14

Hi everybody!

I have updated to Mathcad14 and have some troubles with some algorithms. They work correctly on my old old Mathcad 2001 but doesn't on my new version..
I have to solve 2D differential equations, and used to do it by finite differences on the 2001 version with the algoritm that I'd learned at Univeristy. The algorithm consists on a Given-Find function with all the equations having the variables as points of a Matrix. So they are defined on two for loops (one for each dimension).
I could write one equation for each node to override the need of using a program loop in this particular example, becouse there are only 25 nodes, but Its imposible to do it with bigger systems...
I've attached the Algorithm, so you can check it.
