Draw a pentagram.
Draw a circle at each vertex and every intersection.

Place a coin on any empty circle.
Then move it along a line TWO spaces to another empty circle.
(A coin may be "jumped.")
Leave the coin there.

Repeat this process with more coins.

If you are successful, you can place nine coins on the star.
Then place the tenth coin on the last circle.

Spoiler:

Place a coin on any empty circle, say 0.
Move it two spaces to another empty circle, say 6.

The next move must place the coin
in the circle you just vacated.
There is only one move: 5-to-0.

The next move puts a coin on 5: 9-to-5.

Continue in this manner: 3-to-9, 1-to-3,
7-to-1, 4-to-7, 2-to-4, 8-to-2.

And last coin is placed on 8.
