Hello, KayPee!

The numbers in the brackets follow the same pattern: .[2, 6, 24] .[3, 2, 15] .[7, 5, X]

Find the value of X.

The pattern seems to be: .\$\displaystyle [a,\,b,\,3(a+b)]\$

Therefore: .\$\displaystyle [7,\,5,\,36]\$

Just curious Soroban. Did you intuit the relation or did you have an analytical way?

Re: Number Pattern
I can't be certain but I suspect Soroban tried a number of calculations until one worked.

I have gotten complaints about constantly telling people on this and other boards to try something!
