for first half of the day Sammy eat one cookie of the huge bag of cookies....

for second part of the day he eat 4 cookies of that what was left from fist part of the day...

from that point, he every day eat double as much as day before, and finally eat the whole bag for 27 days ....

when did he eat half of cookies from the bag ?

This is the thing I'm not getting. If he eats 17/66 of the bag from what was left in the first day, and he eats double that the next, he should be able to finish the bag within 5 days.

Or is it that he eats 17/66 of what was left left from the first day... and then eats 34/66 of what was left on the second day... and eats 68/66 of what was left on the third day... that still doesn't work.

It would take him way less than 27 days to finish the bag of cookies.

Is it just me or is does this question have no answer?

Is the answer 18 days? (Just a random guess)

3. lol sorry with that didn't know that someone should try to calculate that

doesn't have point whatever did he eat at start, this should not be calculated .... it's logic

if someone each day eat double than last day , and finished at some day let's say 200.... he eat half of that just day before he finished all (199 for example)

(I edited that question sorry again.... that with that fractions is just to confuse )

4. Oh, I got it. The answer should be 1 day before he finished all the cookies.

I overcomplicated things a bit too much there by trying to calculate the fractions...

So technically, I did get the answer right... that there was no answer. Because he would have taken 5 days to finish all the cookies.

At least I learnt something there. You learn something new everyday.
