    In my senior year in high school, we had an exchange student from Austria. She had never shaved her legs! Of course, within a few days she started to.

    I didn't say anything about "shaving a lady", I was talking about a woman doing the shaving.

    I know you did not. But the point was that in late 19th century, Russell would never have considered a woman barber possible.

    Definition is always false. As definition is just someone's perception and only relevant to the person's own perception. Therefore, REAL to only the person and thus not real. Too much?
