As I was going to St Ives
I met a man with seven wives
And every wife had seven sacks
And every sack had seven cats
And every cat had seven kits
Kits, cats, sacks, wives
How many were going to St Ives?
Wikipedia
Now how many legs were going to St Ives? Can we adapt this to a bus?
CB
As I was going to St Ives....................... St Ives is a place!
I met a man with seven wives................Note The Man and his Wives were working with their legs!
And every wife had seven sacks............Note Those Sacks were carried and not working!
And every sack had seven cats..............So far those sack was carried then you can not can't the legs!
And every cat had seven kits................Accepted but not working with their legs
Kits, cats, sacks, wives
How many were going to St Ives?........ The man.........1 person but he saw !!!
There are 7\times 7 \:=\:49 bags.
There are: 7 \times 49 \:=\:343 cats
There are: 7\times 343 \:=\:2401 kittens
Therefore the total number of goings is 1 meanwhile 343 cats + 2401 kittens + 1 husband + 7 wives were met along the way going
Now how many legs were going to St Ives? is just 2 Legs meanwhile the follows were met on the road (1 husband + 7 wives * 2 legs = 8 * 2 = 16 legs)
Can we adapt this to a bus? .............No
Thank you very much for your lovely question.
I wish you and your family a very Merry Xmas & Happy New Year in advance.
Stay blessed and your days belong.
