Q1.Tanveer and Kunal went down a descending escalator. the escalator was going down at a constant speed. Kunal walked down the steps and had cover 50 steps to reach the bottom. Tanveer on the other hand, ran down the steps of the escalator and take 75 steps to reach the bottom. Actually, Tanveer took 3 steps in the same time it took Kunal to take 1 step. How many steps would be visible when the escalator is stopped and is not operating?

write eqs from given info:

eq1: b + 40g = 40c
eq2: b + 60g = 30c
eq3: b + dg = 20c

Subtracting eq1 from eq2 gives:

20g=-10c,

but the way the equations are set up both g and c should be >=0 :eek:
