Good Morning world.
How does one get the modulus sign for an equation like this $\displaystyle |x-2|$
|x-2|
I copied and pasted that as an example, where do you get the vertical slashes?
Thanks in advance.
It depends on the keyboard you're using... To get "|" I type Alt + Shift + l. (the last symbol is the letter L)
If there is no key on your keyboard with the symbol "|" you can use \vert and \Vert :
- \vert x-2 \vert gives $\displaystyle \vert x-2\vert$
- \Vert e_k \Vert gives $\displaystyle \Vert e_k\Vert$
