1. ## Adding Fractions

Why do I keep getting a error for this?

\frac{2}{a} + \frac{1}(b}

I'm trying to get (2/a) + (1/b).

Hi juicysharpie,

You need to slap some tags around it like this. Click on the code to see:

$\frac{2}{a}+\frac{1}{b}$

3. I tried that, but if I did that for this question, you wouldn't be able to see it.
So, I put \frac{2}{a} + \frac{1}(b} with , and I still got an error. I don't get it...

It's [/math], not [\math]

$$\frac{2}{a}+\frac{1}{b}$$

5. wait that was only a mistake on this forum. I corrected it at first...I don't know where it went. I actually put the correct latex thing in the question though.
