    Field extentions...

    I was curious if anyone knows of a userpackage that has a good call for a quoteint ring Field extentions ect..

    This is what I have been using and it doesn't look so hot.

    \mathbb{F}[x] \bigg/ m_{\alpha}

    \mathbb{F}[x] \bigg/ m_{\alpha}

    Then I tried this

     {}^{\mathbb{F}[x]} / {}_{m_{\alpha}}

    {}^{\mathbb{F}[x]} / {}_{m_{\alpha}}

    It looks better but the slant is off and it is very small.

    Any Idea's on how to fudge an existing package would be great too.

    nice fractions

    Hi,

    you could try nicefrac:
    Code:
    \usepackage{nicefrac}
    ...
    \nicefrac{\mathbb{F}[x]}{m_{\alpha}}
    or xfrac or factor.
