LaTex working again?
I am just wondering what the latest is on getting LaTex to working again.

I am sure MG is working on it, but since I am a MHF junkie I need my fix(Wink).

I miss it too. Weird thing though. Posts made before the site went down still preserve the LaTeX typesetting. I haven't tried to edit one of my posts, but I think that after I try to edit it, it would have given me an error like this:
$\text{asdfadsfdsfgdsfgsfdq}$

LaTeX is converted into an image file. Which explains why the old equations are still properly visible.

All formulas written in one line are working fine:

$x^2$ ....... $\sqrt{x^3}$

even simple fractions are possible: $\frac13$ ....... $\frac xy$

but a more complicated fraction like [ MATH]\frac{x^2}{\sqrt{y}}[/ MATH] $\frac{x^2}{\sqrt{y}}$ doesn't work (Crying)

$x = sin(u)$

( $$x = sin(u)$$ )

Nope. ;)

Just a reminder and for those whe haven't seen the thread, Moo came up with a French site. Follow this thread:

http://www.mathhelpforum.com/math-he...e-formula.html

to create your Latex img files until everything settles down. Works fine for me. Takes a little extra time, but it's all good

It is fine for helping people, but if you want to post something semi-important (like if I wanted to post one of my integrals or something or a challenge question) then it doesn't really do.

You can do it in a whole part.

Start your text with an enter (that is to say leave space) and then use \\ for changing line. It's working (see my last post in your integrals thread). If you prefer typing your integras in ascii code, it's all your choice :D

Flyingsquirrel's thought that only old formula are ok, seems to be correct.
