    theorems counter

    Hi, how can I reset the counter of the AMS newtheorem environment manually, I mean not subordinated to sections, hopefully using \setcounter{?}{0} ?

    Dear Anibal, if you declared something like newtheorem{teo}{Theorem} then you reset the counter using the same name, i.e. setcounter{teo}{0}.
