I see that LaTex is giving you a rough time in posts like this:

For your 2 term fraction problems that you enter, use this little generator I built for you. You want to paste in the text from Cell B10. I even named the file after you. 2. how would i enter a problem like 4 over a-7= -2aover a+3 or a problem like 3xover x+2 - x-2over x+2

This will aid you in typing perfect textbook-like expressions, without knowing a single bit of LaTeX itself.

a-7 enter as (a - 7) or just a - 7

Write in [ math][ /math] command without spaces between [&m and [&/ and write this:
\frac{4}{a-7} = \frac{-2a}{a+3}
to obtain:
$\displaystyle \frac{4}{a-7} = \frac{-2a}{a+3}$

Similarly, entering this:
\frac{3x}{x+2} - \frac{x-2}{x+2}
obtains:
$\displaystyle \frac{3x}{x+2} - \frac{x-2}{x+2}$
