Thread: New line - How?

There is NO way for me to make the text/equations in Latex to start on a new line after ending the previous with \\

For me, the only way to make a new line is to close the first line with \]
and start a new text with \[

That's so annoying and I don't see why \\ does not work.

I'm sure someone cen help...
