I don't want PDFs, I want DVIs -- please help!

I've been using LEd and MiKTeX for over a year, and everything was working fine until I recently formatted my hard-drive. I installed LEd and MiKTeX 2.7 (I'm not sure what version I had last), and now whenever I compile a .tex, .sty or anything else, I get a PDF rather than a DVI. This is extremely inconvenient, and I really need to generate DVIs. Can someone please help me?

I think it's likely that I'm simply doing something stupid, getting the basics wrong. I've merely learned how to type the maths, and I've never bothered with the fundamentals. (For instance, I don't believe I understand the difference between LaTeX and TeX.)

Almost certainly not a LaTeX problem but a configuration problem with LEd.

OK, this is embarrassing. Somehow a \usepackage[pdftex]{graphicx} had crept in amid the swarm of packages I had set (probably due to pasting in from another file).

This one ridiculously stupid oversight has cost me about three hours, which I'll never get back!

    Kind of funny, though!
