How to write a matrix?
The Latex.pdf only teach $\displaystyle \left(\begin{array}{cc}1&0\\0&1\end{array}\right)$ .

2. For example what? Can you draw a picture by hand and post what you are looking for (is your avatar hand drawn by yourself?).

The syntax of LaTeX befomes a bit fiddly to get right when you have complicated matrices, so I use TeXaide to generate the LaTeX for these.

(Google for TeXaide - its free)
