Re: technical information for using LaTeX

Are you enclosing your code with the TEX tags?

without tags: \sqrt{\frac{x}{y}}

with tags: $\displaystyle \sqrt{\frac{x}{y}}$

Re: technical information for using LaTeX

\sqrt{\frac{x}{y}}

it does not convert to mathematical symbols

sorry for the deep ignorance.

If you click the "reply with quote" or the "go advanced" you should see a $\displaystyle \Sigma$ on the toolbar. Click that tab. You will see [TEX][/TEX] appear. Type the Latex code between them. Or else, highlight the code and then click the $\displaystyle \Sigma$

So [TEX]\sqrt{\frac{x}{y}}[/TEX] gives $\displaystyle \sqrt{\frac{x}{y}}$

Re: technical information for using LaTeX

$\displaystyle \frac{2+sqrt{x^2+3}}{3x+2}-{x-2}$ Quote:

Re: technical information for using LaTeX

Thank's a lot.

How can i practicr?do i have to download something?

Re: technical information for using LaTeX

There's nothing to download.

To practice, use the preview function without submitting the post. The best practice is to just dive in and begin using it.
