    WinEdt with mathptmx

    Hello everyone!

I'm "using" mathptmx package with WinEdt for PDFLaTeX and it is giving an error, something like it is not supported with PDFLaTeX.

Any solutions: fixing that or using an alternate mathtime library?

    Thanks!

It starts by saying that a file is missing and needs to be downloadable from "http://mirror.math.ku.edu/tex-archive/systems/win32/miktex/tm/packages/" (happened a few times before, and worked with other packages).

But now, it confirms it has downloaded the file, namely ly1.tar.lzma and that zipped files are being extracted.

But then it halts and errs: ! Font \csname\endcsname=psyr at 10.0pt not loadable : Metric (TFM) file not found.

What seems to be the problem here?

I would just delete Miktex, do the full download not the little one, and then go into Winedt so it re-installs everything.
