Working on Latex issues
I am working on restoring LaTex.

Please give it a go on this thread. See if everything is working now.

Hello, MathGuru!

We're still restricted to certain "monomials" . . . no change.

$5x^2$

$xy^3$

$\sqrt{x}$

$\sqrt[3]{x}$

$x^{\frac{1}{2}}$

$\frac{a}{b}$

$\dfrac{a}{b}$

$\ln x$

$\log x$

$\int x^2\,dx$

These do not work:

. . $$7xy^3$$

. . $$x + y$$

. . $$\sin\theta$$

The double-click to see LaTeX code feature is working again, for me at least.

It's beginning to work, but not yet firing on all cylinders. For example, at this moment
$$p\wedge q$$ $p\wedge q$ compiles, but
$$r\wedge s$$ $r\wedge s$ doesn't.

e^(i*pi)
$\displaystyle\lim_{n\to\infty}\left(1+\dfrac{1}{n} \right)^n=e$

$h^2-1=0$

$\int 3 dx$

$x+2$

Seems that some commands are working only if you don't leave space between the commands and the tags.
\iint, \hat{k}, \equiv, \approx, \leqslant and \sin all don't work if there is a space, but they do otherwise:
$\iint$, $\hat{k}$, $\equiv$, $\approx$, $\leqslant$. But $\cos$, $\infty$, $=$, $\le$, $\ge$, $\Rightarrow$, $\Leftrightarrow$ and many others appear to be working regardless of that.

The LaTeX Commands Quick-Menu could be a great idea - it would definitely help out newbies to LaTeX. Unfortunately, many of the pictures are broken. Hovering over the broken pictures tells me what the command is supposed to be, and clicking it does produce the necessary LaTeX code, so that's nice.

$\lim_{n\to \infty}$ \lim_{n\to \infty}

$\frac{1}{ n^2}$ \frac{1}{ n^2}

$\sum_{n = 0}^\infty$ \sum_{n = 0}^\infty

$\sin$

$\cos$

$\tan$

$\forall x$ \forall x

Nice thing with this Commands Quick-Menu but thought that at least those symbols that is "without code" will work ... since half of those symbols are in code and another half is shown :D (sorry for bad English) But even those that are shown in menu doesn't work either ;) for example last one that i wrote :D

Thanks for this greatest math forum ;) and everyone that participate in this (Bow)(Bow)(Bow)(Bow)

$x^4$

$3x$

$3x^4$

$2x^3$ + $3x^2$ Well....it as a combination of TWO latex- brackets. When I try to make it inside a single bracket, they do not come.

HEY....I found something very interesting... http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/2333/unledtu.png Try to write only this in your post, and they won't appear!!!

I have even got the following to as opposed to sedam 7.
$\frac{1}{n^2}$

$\forall{x}$

HI I cant get latex to work at all on here,

Quote:

\frac{\delta W}{\delta I_4}

I_4 = \alpha^2

\frac{\delta W}{\delta \alpha^2} = \frac{\delta W}{\delta \alpha}
None of the above works.

$\int_{-\infty}^{\infty}e^{-x^{2}}\,dx=\sqrt{\pi}.$

That didn't work before.

However, $$\displaystyle\int_{-\infty}^{\infty}e^{-x^{2}}\,dx=\sqrt{\pi}.$$ doesn't work yet.

Great progress!

I don't know if it is in any way related to the LaTeX problems, but I am also unable to upload attachments at present. I get an error message "This is not a valid image file."
