{\bf This \; is \; in \; bold}

$
{\bf This \; is \; in \; bold}
" alt="
{\bf This \; is \; in \; bold}
" />

{\it this \; is \; in \; italics}

$
{\it this \; is \; in \; italics}

In bold, use:

\mathbf{}

which is math bold font
And italics:

\mathif{}
which is math italics font

Example:
$\text{Normal}$

$\mathbf{Bold}$

$\mathif{Italics}$

For underlined; \underline{}

$\text{\underline{Underlined}}$

Notice that without the \text command, the underlined will be displayed as italics as well.

We try all three formats?

$\mathif{\mathbf{\underline{All}}}$

Hm... italics don't take irrespective of the order the commands are put. (Thinking)

$\mathif{sudo } \mathbf{make \ me \ a\ sandwich}$

you should use "\ " to get a space
