Dead Link in FAQ to a Latex thread

I found my way to this forum eventually but in the FAQ question regarding how to write mathXL or whatever Latex is using, there is a dead link to a thread supposedly explaining what Latex is and how to use it.

I guess it should link to the first sticky post here or this Forum in general. Bit frustrating but I luckily I remembered seeing this forum chapter. Not good for newbs!

Fixing this will require a Admin with time or who is active, unfortunately Jameson (the active admin) either does not have time at present (or has become inactive).

Okay. Looks like we need some succession planning round these parts. Incidentally, it's 10s fix if someone has the permissions.

Do you really think either of those comments are news to the staff?

Comments like these and the ignorant implications they contain really tick me off. People come breezing in "here once or twice every couple of years" with no idea what the situation is but decide to give their two cents worth - negativity and the implication that we're all just sitting around here twiddling our thumbs doing naff all about things that are beyond our current control.

Perhaps in a couple of years time when you next decide to breeze in the link might be fixed. And if you take a bit of time to become familiar with the culture of MHF you won't have to read anyone's mind.
