How to embed LaTeX into an HTML document.

Is it possible? I was attempting to make a math based website, and the only solution I could come up with is linking directly to a picture (I.e. <img src="name" alt="bla"/>).

If it is not possible, are there any other options for nice looking equations?

I think your best bet is to sign up with WordPress, which has facilities for using LaTeX in a blog. You can see how one of our Math Help Forum members, drexel28, makes use of this at his site Abstract Nonsense.
