Math Help - How do I leave a big space between words

1. How do I leave a big space between words

Whenever I hit the space bar many times to distance words or numbers, Latex always brings them back close together. How do I space them?

You might try these delimeters: \; or \:

Examples:

$$AB$$ = $AB$

$$A \; B$$ = $A \; B$

$$A \: B$$ = $A \: B$

$$A \:\:\:\: B$$ = $A \:\:\: B$
