by the way, how to delete the attachment? I think there should be a "delete" button in the Manage Attachments window, but only "add" button is found.

\displaystyle A \hspace{-1.1em} \int f(x)\;dx

$\displaystyle A \hspace{-1.1em} \int f(x)\;dx$

Go to Manage Attachments, put the cursor over the selected attachment and two little boxes will appear over the attachment, one containing a ? and the other containing an X. Click on the X to delete the attachment.

I used one of my favorite commands, but had to "fudge" it a bit . . .

The command \rlap{x} prints the x over the next character.

\rlap{A} \int

. . $\rlap{A}\int$

\displaystyle \rlap{A} \int

. . $\displaystyle \rlap{A}\int$

\displaystyle creates a larger integral
. . but the $A$ is not centered.

\displaystyle \rlap{\;A} \int

. . $\displaystyle \rlap{\;A}\int$

\; inserts a space before the $A$.
